Author Bio Steve Winshel

Steve Winshel received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Princeton,

but he ended up choosing a career in business and technology over academia. During the past two decades, he has launched several startups, run a large consulting practice, and served as the Chief Information Officer for growing companies. He was most recently the CIO for a large health and fitness company where he ran the technology and online business. Steve currently is spending most of his time writing and advising various start-ups (and hiding from headhunters). More importantly, he has raised two beautiful, brilliant children who are both better writers than he is.

From the Author

It's 3 a.m. The kids don't get up for a few more hours. I roll out of bed, get through a few work emails, and hope the guy who delivers the newspapers will show up by 5 so I can read them while on the bike. It's quiet time. A couple years ago I decided it was wasted time, too. And that my plan to write novels after I retired was absurd – and lazy. Absurd because I don't plan on retiring and lazy because…well, I had time (as evidenced by the above) so what was my excuse?

The result – the novels here. More to come. I’m hoping you like reading them even a fraction as much as I enjoy writing them. So let me know – what you like, what you don’t, what you want more of, or less. You tell me…and then keep in mind, if you’re up at 3 a.m. (PDT), I’m following your advice.

And for some topics completely unrelated to novels or writing, please feel free to take a look at my blog.
